Eynez II Underground Coal Mine
Eynez II field is within the borders of Soma district of Manisa province and is approximately 25 km away from the district center. It is 93 km from Manisa city center and 41 km from Akhisar.
Based on quality and reliability, Demir Export's fully mechanized, intermediate-storey rear caving longwall (LTCC) system in the Eynez I project, which was implemented for the first time in Turkey, was implemented here as well. In the Eynez II project, 369,986 tons of coal were produced as of 31.12.2022. (The preparation period continues contractually.)
A team of 1,133 people is working in the project, which continues its production by taking international standards as a reference in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, as of the end of 2022.
The Eynez II Project, which started with the TKİ tender process in 2018, started its preparation works in 2019 with the completion of the license transfer and EIA processes, leaving behind the difficult working conditions and negativities during the pandemic process that lasted more than 2 years, and will start production activities has started in October 2022.
