Demir Export, has been producing iron ore since 1957. With its experience of more than half a century, Demir Export continues to take active responsibility in bringing the national wealth of our country to the economy by producing zinc, lead, copper concentrates and gold from base metals.

Demir Export not only contributes to the development of the regions where it operates by creating employment, but also contributes to the social development of the regions with the projects it realizes in collaboration with non-governmental organizations and official institutions and organizations, carries out environmental activities that place emphasis on and provide protection to natural life, and engages in the regional economy by participating in the local commercial life.

The millions of trees it has brought to life, the tons of waste water it has recycled and reused, the support it has provided to regional agriculture, and the projects it has implemented in schools are the sine qua non of Demir Export's activities in the regions where it operates.

Demir Export has ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Management System, ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Management System, ISO 14046 Water Footprint Management System and Feedback Management System certificates ISO 10001, which goes beyond national legislation in the mining industry, continues its activities with international independent audits.

The published Equator Principles for the Management of International Environmental and Social Risks are implemented by Demir Export and these practices are reported to the relevant institutions by independent external auditors.

Demir Export accepts the working principles as the basic policy of the company, in which many criteria such as the World Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, Ramsar Convention and UNESCO are jointly evaluated and necessary precautions are taken.
