Demir Export Mineral Exploration Directorate carries out mineral exploration activities with a sustainable mining approach, respecting the environment and people

Mineral exploration activities at Demir Export are carried out in three stages, that is, Target-Setting, Exploration and Reserves Estimation, which are implemented in order.

    Determination of the Target Mine Site by Preliminary Mineral Exploration Works
    The geological interpretation of the data collected within the scope of the geology - geochemistry studies pertaining to the target mine site is made, and the target mine site is determined.

    Mineral Exploration First Step
    The selection of the target mine site is made based on the evaluation of the geological information and data collected at the regional scale.

    Detailed Prospecting and Mineral Exploration
    The ore is discovered based on the detailed geological studies carried out in the target mine site, and a conceptual geological model is created.

    Estimation of the Resources/Reserves
    The process is carried a step forward by estimating the resources/reserves.
