We, as Demir Export, act with the knowledge that ensuring women’s participation in the economy across all industries is crucial to a stable and fair social structure, the adoption of sustainability and emphasis on human rights, increasing quality of life of families, companies’ earning reputation as well as achieving gender equality across the society.

Despite the positive evidence that women’s participation in the business world is the single most important factor underpinning development, women’s inclusion in the process -whether it be in top management, manufacturing sites, or supply chain, has never reached its desirable level throughout history. We, as Demir Export, express support for the provisions of the Women’s Empowerment Principles – Equality Means Business, produced and disseminated by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Global Compact.

In this context, we, as Demir Export Inc., have signed the CEO Statement of Support, which is promoted jointly by Koç Holding and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), to affirm our commitment to using these principles as guidance for actions that we will take in the company and community to empower women, using sex-disaggregated data in our sustainability reporting to communicate our progress in this field to our employees. By signing this statement, we aim to share all projects and improvements undertaken by our company about women with our entire workforce in the upcoming days.
