Sivas Bakırtepe license were taken from the General Directorate of Mining Affairs' tender in 2006. Gold potential was discovered with prospecting, exploration and drilling. Currently, drillings are still continued in the license. Environmental baseline studies have started within the scope of environmental impact assessment. In addition, design and engineering studies of ore processing (leach pad) and mining have started.
