The mine site for this project, within the boundaries of the Kangal district in Sivas province, is one of the iron mines for which Demir Export holds an operating license. The primary ore minerals are hematite and magnetite in mineral deposit; the location is adjacent to our Cetinkaya site. At this site, a total of 1,135-meter drillings were performed at eight different locations in 2008, along with detailed prospecting studies and geological mapping. With the geological model created as a result of these studies, 800,000 tons of proven and probable iron ore reserves at an average of 53% Fe grade were uncovered.

The feasibility studies and preparation of the site continues, with production projected for 2010.
