The Çetinkaya Iron Ore Plant is 34 km from the Kangal district of Sivas in central eastern Turkey.

The primary ore minerals are hematite and magnetite at this mine, one of the first established by Demir Export. We restarted production in 2004, after a suspended period from 1990 to 2003 because of high levels of underground water (200 lt/s). This mine achieved approximately over 3.2 million tons of iron ore sales by the end of 2010, with a 200,000 ton per annum production capacity. Indicated and Inferred Resources for Çetinkaya Mine is 6.0 million tons at 54% Fe grade.
